Characteristics of Wisdom
Let's Share the Importance of Healthy Conflict in Marriage! //Pastor M.Gaudin
Conflict in marriage, though often viewed negatively, can actually serve several important purposes and play a significant role in the growth and development of a relationship. While constant or severe conflict is not healthy, a certain level of conflict is natural and can have the following positive aspects:
- Communication and Understanding: Conflict can provide an opportunity for couples to communicate openly about their feelings, needs, and concerns. When handled constructively, it can lead to a deeper understanding of each other's perspectives and emotions.
Conflict Resolution Skills: Managing and resolving conflicts requires specific skills like active listening, empathy, and compromise. Working through conflicts together can help couples develop and refine these essential skills, which are beneficial in various aspects of their relationship.
Strengthens Emotional Bonds: Going through challenges and resolving conflicts can create a sense of accomplishment and reinforce the emotional bond between partners. The ability to overcome obstacles together fosters a sense of partnership and teamwork.
Identifying Underlying Issues: Conflict often arises from deeper underlying issues within the relationship. Addressing these issues directly can lead to personal and relational growth, allowing both partners to work on their vulnerabilities and emotional triggers.
Promotes Personal Growth: Conflict can be an opportunity for self-reflection and personal growth. It may reveal patterns or behaviors that need improvement, encouraging individuals to become more self-aware and mindful of their actions.
Prevents Resentment: Openly addressing conflicts can prevent unresolved issues from festering and turning into long-term resentments. Nipping problems in the bud can prevent them from escalating and causing more significant damage to the relationship.
Opportunity for Intimacy: Successfully navigating conflicts can lead to increased emotional intimacy. The process of vulnerability and openness during conflict resolution can bring couples closer together.
Learning to Compromise: Marriage requires compromise and understanding between partners. Conflict can be a platform to practice this skill, leading to more balanced decision-making in the relationship.
Validation of Individuality: Conflict reminds partners that they are unique individuals with their own perspectives and values. It's essential to maintain individuality within a marriage while fostering a sense of togetherness.
Building Resilience: Couples who learn to handle conflicts effectively build resilience, which helps them cope with future challenges and adversities that may arise during their life together.
It's important to note that the way conflicts are managed matters significantly. Constructive communication, respect, empathy, and a willingness to find solutions together are essential elements of healthy conflict resolution.

Twelve Disciples of Jesus
The twelve disciples of Jesus, also known as the apostles, were his closest followers and played a significant role in his ministry. According to the New Testament of the Bible, the twelve disciples were:
Simon Peter: Peter was a fisherman and is considered the leader of the twelve. Jesus referred to him as "the rock" on which he would build his church.
Andrew: Andrew was Peter's brother and also a fisherman. He was one of the first disciples called by Jesus.
James, son of Zebedee: James was the brother of John. He, along with his brother, was known as one of the "Sons of Thunder."
John, son of Zebedee: John was the brother of James and often referred to as "the disciple whom Jesus loved." He played a significant role in the early Christian community.
Philip: Philip was from Bethsaida and was known for his logical and practical thinking. He was instrumental in bringing Nathanael to Jesus.
Bartholomew: Also known as Nathanael, Bartholomew was initially skeptical about Jesus but became a dedicated disciple.
Matthew: Matthew, also known as Levi, was a tax collector before becoming a disciple of Jesus. He is traditionally associated with writing the Gospel of Matthew.
Thomas: Thomas is best known for his doubts and insistence on seeing Jesus' wounds after his resurrection. He is often referred to as "Doubting Thomas."
James, son of Alphaeus: Also known as James the Less, he is sometimes identified as the brother of Matthew. Not much is known about him.
Thaddaeus: Also called Lebbaeus or Judas, not to be confused with Judas Iscariot. He is mentioned briefly in the Gospels but his role is not well-documented.
Simon the Zealot: Simon was called the Zealot, which suggests he may have been associated with the Jewish nationalist Zealot movement.
Judas Iscariot: Judas was the disciple who infamously betrayed Jesus to the religious authorities for thirty pieces of silver. His betrayal led to Jesus' crucifixion.
